A siren's story is simple to tell. Although, Lyric's story may be a bit different. Her mother, a beautiful siren herself, was a bit more kind and warm than others. She didn't enjoy devouring sailors as much as the other sirens of the sea, but as to why, who knows? Then a child, a baby siren came along. Her mother christened her Lyric, in hopes that her song would be enough to bring thousands of sailors to their deaths.

It was uncharacteristic, and many thought that perhaps Lyric's mum had been distressed or partially insane at the time. But the haze faded, and soon no one really cared about Lyric's name. She grew up normal. Her mother allowed her to watch as the water spirits went about their business killing people, but Lyric didn't get to participate until she was fifteen. Unfortunately.

Her first time, she was scared. Her second, testing boundaries. Her third, enjoying every moment. Lyric, much to her companions' delight, had a particularly enchanting song, and she grew to be among the best singers... For the siren song, anyways.
