You can see the roots tangling up the entrance- that’s where our connection is. Our connection between our world and their world, if you can push yourself through the giant roots holding in the tree you will get there. When you smell the salt of the sea you will know that you made it. They call it Reena. I now call it home.

I found my way to another world. It just along the shore, up on the rocks and into the smallest looking of caves. Just inside is a community of roots, burrowing deeply around the stone and into fresh soil only a bit away. This is the path that leads to their world- our only known connection to a strange place. You can tell when you are coming through as the smell of pine and sweet flowers come onto your breath. They call it California.
