Leila pulled the hood of her cape over her head, only to have the wind blow it off once again. The wind seemed to love to play with her mess of red hair, especially today. Her gray eyes looked up to the equally gray skies. She found it absurd. Her fingers clutched the cloak closer to her body, as she shook her head. It was messed up, and today was just not her day. Then again, it simply didn't seem like her decade. But, that is a whole different story.
"Cut it out! Cut it out I said!" Leila shouted to the wind, before closing her eyes and tilting her head back.
She was Autumn. One of the seasons. Probably the most gloomiest of them all. Small physic, slightly rounded features, gray eyes that echo the rainy days, and burgandy-like hair with a golden tint to remind of the changing seasons. Dark clothing and bright scarfs: mourning of the passing of life and the memorial to nature's dying beauty. The woman opened her eyes dropping her head so that she could look down at teh stone upon which she was standing on. Stones didn't change. They were consistant. Dead. Everything living on teh other hand, will always change. Her eyes then shifted to the sea. It was calm, despite teh clouds hanging over head and the wind playing between it's waves. But it was calm, especially here, on the cliff, above it all. Behind her... behind her was the tall walls of the city. But that was some distance away.
The wind didn't listen.
Leila sighed, shaking her head. What was she thinking. It's a cliff side. The wind always blows strong here from the sea. Slight bit cold, but at least it brings freashness, especially on a hot summer day. Her eyes found a pleasant rock, as she dropped onto it. Cold... and wet... of course. What else could it be? Autumn rolled her eyes. The wind compleatly messed up her hair, her curles flying all over the place, and now seemed to be working on her black dress, bright red scarf, and the black cape. Typical.
"You know... Just beyond those walls is a city? Yes, you do.. what am I even asking? Wish you could speak. Ther is so much to ask you. All the things you have seen..." Yes, she was talking to the wind, but so be it. Heavens knew chances of anyone else being on this forsaken cliff at this late hour were slim. Add in teh cloudy weather, and the chances were even smaller.
"I do but wonder.... how is it? Far away. Far, far, far away from here. Perhaps in another world, in another universe. How is it there?" She asked, again, before chuckling slightly. She wasn't ever going to recieve an answer. Not this way, but perhaps some day. When the storm clouds pass.... and the sun peaks over the horizon, somewhere beyond teh mountains... perhaps then... Only... when will that be?

lost myself againLOST MYSELF AND I AM NOWHERE TO BE FOUND, YEAH I THINKI MIGHT BREAK, I'VE LOST MYSELF AGAIN AND I FEEL UNSAFE_______________________________________ It was rare that he ventured into the cities. Whenever he was in or even near one he did not feel like he was welcomed there or like he fit in with all the humans or… whatever else may have been lurking there. Draco was not so fond of how close everyone seemed to be physically. With all the homes lined up and constant bustling down the streets so that they could go about their daily business. No, this particular dragon would rather do as dragons were said to in stories and that was keep to themselves in dank caves and have brave knights for snacks. Of course, he didn’t do either of those things but he found it far more appealing than dwelling in a city. In any case, Draco was near a city today but he did not plan on going into it. Not completely, anyways. Some curiosities had struck him recently ever since meeting up with this woman who had claimed that she was Spring. He, personally, had never heard anything of the season since he had never truly been around when Spring had been around and full of life, giving life back to the world. The only seasons he had ever truly known were fall, winter, and summer. That was all. So he supposed that he was trying to gather some information from the people outside of this city. Just hear some stories and learn a few things about this springtime. The only problem was that Draco hadn’t the slightest idea of who to approach all day. He wasn’t completely sure how this place felt about strangers swooping in. Or how they felt about dragons if they knew that he was one. Needless to say, much of his day was spent carefully flying in the misty clouds above the city, carefully scoping out all of it. You know, just to be certain he knew all of the nooks and crannies before being brave enough to enter.
It wasn’t long before the night started coming out over the land. The clouds were thick and the wind was picking up a good deal. Of course, being near to the ocean did that. He pulled his wings back further over his shoulders, spreading them out as wide as he could to catch the wind just right beneath them. He was preparing for a landing at the cliffs where surely nobody would be at this time. At least, he had thought that until he began to lower his wings again and give them a massive flap to get back up into the sky. His icy clue stare had caught sight of a being down at the cliffs and he immediately ascended to the clouds again. His dark scales faded behind the clouds slightly and blended a bit better now that the sun was hiding as well. The only problem was that he wasn’t completely sure whether she had heard his wings beating or not or had somehow managed to feel his presence.
Draco was going to leave it at that. There was someone where he was going to land so that meant he was going to find a new place rather than get into any troubles with a human or whatever it was. But a thought had hit him. His entire day had been completely fruitless. He hadn’t found out any of the legends or mysteries of the season called Spring. He was still lost without any understanding of it. This could be a first attempt at understanding. Ah, but the human below looked young! Far too young to know of spring, right? If she was human at all. But maybe, just maybe, she would have a story for him to hear. Or maybe know of someone who could tell him. He was rather desperate to understand Spring. He liked to know what he was dealing with, you know.
With a snort, the dragon again began to descend. This time though he circled around further away from the figure so that she wouldn’t see his landing or his transformation. He didn’t exactly want to waltz over and have anyone around know what he was, did he? Of course not, he would rather have them think he was a measly human.
Before his feet met the ground, Draco quickly phased into the more accepted form around these parts: the human. It was painful feeling each of his scales pull under the skin and his bones shrink down to size but it was over just as quickly as it had happened. In a split second he had gone from dragon to human.
Now on the ground, he straightened out his new form. Well, old but new. His attire was rather beaten and rugged. In between transforming and simply being on your own for years things like this were bound to happen. His loose gray shirt hung around his thin form awkwardly, a leather belt around his middle the only thing showing that he did have a form beneath it. His brown trousers and boots were also in desperate need of some repair or simply ready to be retired. It almost didn’t match his clean and sleek features.
He walked further back up to where he was going to land earlier and came to a stop when he finally saw the person he had before. She was covered in a cloak, so Draco really couldn’t make out much of her. Assuming she was young may have been a mistake. For all he knew the oldest of old women could have been hiding in that thing. He took in a deep, long breath as he started to carefully approach her. He couldn’t really tell what she was with scent… perhaps the salty ocean air was confusing him. It was also making him a tad nervous and he suddenly wasn’t sure what to say to her or if he even wanted to grab her attention. So he was left to debate with himself for the moment. _______________________________________ tagged: leila natalie oseni song: breathe me by sia words: nine hundred ninety notes: hope it's okay if draco jumps in (:

(Woot! No problem at all! ^-^ ) "Perhaps it is.. what is it... And unreachable dream. Like this land is for many on the other side... Perhaps it is that."Leila continued to mumble to herself. Perhaps a bad hobby that would seem to label her down right insane... but, in truth, it was a little quark she picked up after the attack. Seemed to help keep memory, or go through a process of solving some situation, or fun stuff like that. Plus, if done in just the right way... keeps noisey people away.
Another gust of wind blew toward her, drowning out her voice, and hitting everything with another damp wave. Her red hair got thrown about her, making it seem as if instead of hair, her head bore fire. Her scarf wipping about behind her, meliting in a frenzy with her hair. Thankfully she managed to get the hold of the cloak before it flew out behind her as well. The chill passed through her body. She, highly disliked the cold, but being the season, she didn't mind the chills, nor the wet. Leila sighed, shaking her head. What idiot goes out here at this hour? Only a poor, suicidal soul would show up here, outside the bustling city, to choose his existance out here on the cliffs.
But, then again... what is existance? Existance is but a state of mind, state of being. Not thinking, not living, not being in any contact with the outside world: withdrawn, breathing, looking but not seeing. That is what existance is.
Gray skies.... Dark skies... How long was she here now? Periodicaly, Leila spaced in and out, lost in constant stream of thought and memory. She was trying to remember, understand, analyze anything that she must have missed... still missing...Everything was misssing. Lost for an eternity in the subcountious mind of a madwoman. The woman laughed bitterly. Life is a funny thing. Never constant- ever changing. So then, what is the point of trying to adjust or staying afloat, if a new, more stronger wave will hit just as soon as the last passes.
C'est la vie.
She felt another chill pass down her spine. This one was different. Not the kind one get's when one is cold, or exposed to elements, or any of that. No... this was different. Instinctively, she pulled the edges of teh fabric closer about her. With some effort, she focused her mind once more. The mind, simply refused to obey, wanting instead, as always, to live in the little fantasy world of her's, rather then facing the real world around her. With some efort, hwo ever, sha managed the task. Streightening her back, Leila glanced out to the sea, then her gaze flickered to the side then that other. Nothing. No one. Of course... who would it be? Who would be insane enough to be here? Perhaps it is just paranoia. Yet, just to be safe, she glanced further back around her. The pair of gray orbs settled on a figure some distance away.
Another being? Human? Something? Her eye sight wasn't as good. Like her, he looked young. But that ment nothing. Simply dressed. Her eyebrows furrowed slightly, as her eyes narrowed slightly to see better. The hair weren't helping too much.... Neither was the distance. But, at least now, she had the right to be sure that it is not paranoia. Darn... and here she thought of finally going compleately insane. No point in screaming, he won't hear anythning anyways. She marely nodded, letting the man in teh gray shirt know that she saw him, before churning back around to look out at sea. Should he wish to aproach, he could. Should he wish to leave, she won't stop him.

lost myself againLOST MYSELF AND I AM NOWHERE TO BE FOUND, YEAH I THINKI MIGHT BREAK, I'VE LOST MYSELF AGAIN AND I FEEL UNSAFE_______________________________________ As he continued on with his cautious steps, Draco began to wonder whether this person had even noticed him yet or not. Her not noticing was leaving him with his still difficult debate as to whether he wanted to do this or not. He supposed he was used to approaching magical beings that caught onto him in an instant rather than a while and letting their reaction to him being there decide on whether or not he would continue forward. Draco wasn’t always so graceful despite his constant striving to be perfectly silent and unseen because of his cautious nature. Ugh, he really wasn’t quite sure how to go on with this but he did know that he was getting closer and closer to her with nothing on his mind to do yet except close the distance between the two of them. When he fully realized this he found that his mind instantly began flooding with things to do. He could either stop and call out to her now or continue on and risk scaring her half to death when he suddenly appeared at her side with some rather strange questions. Draco really couldn’t decide between the two sadly and had almost rolled his eyes and decided to fly off all together. He wasn’t sure why contact with others made him so extremely uneasy. It was really ridiculous how much he had retreated into these hermit like habits, huh?
Draco almost jumped when her eyes turned to face him. His eyes instantly drank in the scene ahead of him now. Flaming red hair against dark wrappings and bright colored scarves. It all contrasted greatly so it wasn’t difficult for his keen sight to decipher everything before him. The face of this woman was also rather pale and deadpan to him. She seemed very, well, almost uninteresting and Draco wasn’t sure whether to take it as mysterious or just that; uninteresting. Since this wildly contrasting woman had caught sight of him though and nodded, letting him know that she was accepting his new presence here. Draco didn’t back down when beckoned or welcomed either. Not usually… not unless he was completely unsure and feeling like he was about to get his hide ripped apart. Right now he may have been slightly uncertain but once he had seen her face he decided that he wasn’t as nervous as he was before. Having her in his full vision and knowing what her features looked like made him feel more at ease. She seemed less daunting now.
The dragon approached her just as carefully though. His limber human body easily stepping around any obstacles on the cliff without hardly even glancing down. Draco had always been confident that if he fell he wouldn’t really fall. He had wings to catch him, after all. Maybe that explained his few stumbles on land here and there. He felt much safer up in the sky, beyond the clouds and could put his full potential of being graceful to use up there. Where everyone couldn’t see it.
As he got closer to the woman he bowed his head mildly, and walked up by her side, glancing over through some stray blond hairs that were being tossed about from the wind coming off the ocean. Now that eh was closer, he took a moment to soak in her sight better. She had an interesting look. He wasn’t sure if he had ever since such vibrant locks of red hair in his entire life. She was very small looking too, very frail, and seemingly pale. He had assumed that from afar though, but hadn’t relied too much on that assumption since he was quite a good deal larger than her when he was a full fledged dragon. Things were a bit different size wise then. Things that looked small were a lot larger than first anticipated, in other words. She, however, didn’t seem to be in that case with him. Draco turned his eyes away finally, saying nothing for a moment.
“If I may ask you some question regarding the season of spring, miss?” he asked her simply, while lifting his chin and looking over toward her. “I know it may seem… odd of me to ask but I’m afraid you are the first I have stumbled upon in during my traveling to this city. So… if there is anything you know… may I know as well?”
He almost felt stupid going up to a complete stranger and asking such things. Draco was not accustom to asking people for information or help. As a former prince he was used to things being right there before him or being told of them as soon as they came about. He also needn’t have to worry about asking others questions since they were bound to give him a straight answer in any case. But today was a different day, wasn’t it? He much different than he was all those years ago and now he was learning this knew way of gathering information. He was hoping he would be able to find a better way of doing it though. This way felt… awkward. _______________________________________ tagged: leila natalie oseni song: breathe me by sia words: eight hundred fifty-nine notes: nothin' x)

Almost as soon as she churned back around from him, Leila was once more lost in her musings. She doubted he'd approach her, not many people did. The dark clothing, the pale complexion, the bright contrasting scarfs and hair.. The image in the people mind's seemed to become rather discouraging. Then again... that could have easily been due to her melancholic nature... But on the other hand, it would have been quite absurd to see autumn, a season that itself brings about somber feelings, be as cheerful as summer. Perhaps the atmosphere of those grim days hung heavy about her, causing her to be rather distant.
But then.... the heavy gray skies that hung above them, were not much different. Sister Winter did not want to leave, did she? Always trying to jump in early, and stay as last as possible. On the other hand, Leila didn't blame her. It is simply the way winter is.
Soon how ever, she began to feel his presence, approaching, then beside her. The whole time, Leila felt his eyes on her... that... frightened her. No... not like she would be frightened would a wild animal break free and charge at her, but more creeped out. Where he felt awkward, she felt rather uncomfortable. The closing distance, proximity, and being under constant observation, made her feel out of place. Yet, she managed to hide the uneasiness well. After all, if one does it on practically daily basis, it becomes second nature to them. Quite useful if you ask her.
Involuntarily she jumped, ever so slightly, when he spoke. Though aware of a presence, it was still odd when the silence, or the constant gray noise of the sea is interrupted by a human voice. It as pleasant, but she could catch the faint notes of hesitation. Seemed as if this meeting is odd for both of them. She wondered though, why was it so for him.... Despite, Leila stayed silence for a few moments more before churning her head, and looking up at him.
Her gray eyes traveled from his legs up to the top of his head and then settled on his eyes. Blond hair... blue eyes... Average, simple clothing...Thin complexion. Small question passed behind her eyes, as she simply looked at him. Talk about being antisocial. Sadly, Despite knowing it quite well, Leila still had certain trouble finding words to speak. Mostly, when they didn't involve some bitter, or sarcastic remark. Though, it did not reflect on her features, her mind searched frantically for the right words to answer him. Mostly because it was question she did not expect. Of all the things out there, she expected more for it to be, somewhere along the lines of questioning her sanity being out here at this time, alone. But.. instead he asked about her sister.
"Why do you ask? Not many go around asking such strange questions..." Still being rather thrown off, Leila figured that it would be better to first figure out what he wanted, and why. As well as to delay answering, even if for a brief moment, but it would allow her to scrape her memory for what she knew. Her voice was calm, peaceful, serene... which, would seem almost wrong if one knew her closely. But, then again. First impressions are often wrong. The second aren't always right either. But, what can one do? Once fallen into a stereotype, it is quite difficult to get out of it. Possible... but difficult non the less.
Still, the question was rather odd. And from what it seemed, he knew it. Despite her much lower position on the rock, her over all appearance did not suggest that she was any lower then him. But, that didn't matter, after asking the question, and looking at him for a few more moments, Leila looked away, once more diverting her gaze to the stormy sea.

lost myself againLOST MYSELF AND I AM NOWHERE TO BE FOUND, YEAH I THINKI MIGHT BREAK, I'VE LOST MYSELF AGAIN AND I FEEL UNSAFE_______________________________________ He was rather disappointed that she wasn’t going to simply give him an answer back to his question. Instead Draco was now pushed into the position of having to answer a question that he wasn’t really sure how to explain to someone. Spring had not been around for decades and really wasn’t sure if anyone would even know stories of her. Surely no human would be old enough to remember how the springtime felt and how was he supposed to go about telling people that he had met the season of spring? Didn’t that sound at least a little bit crazy? He had already been unsure about asking these things and now she wanted to know why he would ever be asking her something like that because even she knew people didn’t go about asking questions like he asked. He’d never even heard such things until recently. Oh, he supposed he would just have to… make something up. He doubted that Lovella wanted him going about telling everyone of her existence even though she had cried about how she had been forgotten he was sure she did not want to be found out right now. That was just hunch but he was going to go with it.
Draco was almost tempted to fall into the childhood habit of biting on his bottom lip. Of course he refrained from doing so and simply turned his eyes away, mimicking her and looking out toward the constant ocean. His jaw did tighten considerably as he thought though. He couldn’t help but allow that much…
“I suppose I’m only curious,” he answered halfheartedly. He wasn’t sure what else he could say. Anything else would surely give his acquaintance, Lovella, away. But he knew it may have been kind of strange if he had come all this way simply because he was curious. Surely not many would travel far just out of curiosity. No- that was a lie. Plenty of things had done just that! And besides she probably already found him to be a bit off. He was randomly walking up to her at a strange hour at a strange place while asking her strange questions. And surely she must have wondered how he had even known she was here or why he was here at all. Draco needed to stop thinking about all of that though. He felt like if he continued thinking about how strange he was that he would only make himself seem even weirder than he was already coming off to be. That was the last thing that he wanted to happen right now too.
So the dragon forced his brain to stop moving in that direction and moved his eyes up away from the ocean to glance over at her. He didn’t turn his head all the way in her direction and only moved his eyes. As he looked at her it seemed like he was searching for some kind of approval that he was deemed safe enough to tell such secrets to. His face was somber but his eyes were telling a more desperate and curious sort of story. A story that he really did not want her to notice but deep down he wanted her to know that he truly was only interested in these tales or legends that he was asking of and nothing more. He wasn’t dangerous. Not unless she did something to him, that is.
“Please, I only ask this of you and I will be on my way. I have simply found myself in a… dilemma, I suppose, and learning about this particular subject may prove useful to me in the end,” he paused, giving in and biting his bottom lip softly, but quickly. “It is simply unknown knowledge to me… I was hoping here… I could learn about it.” _______________________________________ tagged: leila natalie oseni song: breathe me by sia words: six hundred thirty-seven notes: (:
