A slight wind brought a cloud hovering over the sun, blocking its warmth from cascading down on my pale frame as I lay down on in the grass. My eye lids sank slowly, covering my dark green eyes. It felt good to be warm. The sun was so giving in its warmth. Didn't the sun stand for something like that? Life, or something? I can understand why. Without the sun the plants can't grow, with out the plants some animals can't eat. And it goes up the food chain until everything, well almost everything, dies.
My long fingures reached out and plucked at the grass and gently clipped it from its place in the earth. I laced it through my fingures, feeling the coolness of the plant. It was amazing how something so small could hold so much life in it. I sighed and opened my eyes. I should really get back to Reena...
Reena. My home. Well, I guess it's my home. I'm not very fond of the weather in Reena. It's too cold. I wish it could be like this in Reena. It would probably be a better place to live if it was. Don't get me wrong. It's beautiful now... It's just cold. As... I don't know. I can't compare it.
I sat up and drew my knees to my chest. I haven't slept well for awhile now. I was hoping to get some sleep here. It's not working out all that well. Standing up, I brushed off the seat of my jeans and wiped my back off the best I could. I took a hand and raked my hair back out of my face. My hair shone gently with the movement in the light. Sighing and rubbing my face, I glanced in the direction of the old oak tree. My way home. Should I go? I had been contemplating this for awhile now. Never comeing to a final answer.
With a hand on my head and a hand on my hip, I stood there. Looking towards my only way home. My only way back to the place I was ever truely acccepted. The only place that I knew better than anything.
But it was warmer here. The sun was welcomeing and the cold wind wasn't nipping at me. I felt happier here. I'm thinking about this too hard... I started to get dizzy, starting to sway. Feeling weak all of a sudden. Maybe it's because I haven't eaten since... Well I can't remember. I took a step forward, my feet feeling like boulders. I swayed again. This time crashing to the ground, everything got dark and quiet....

harley. •••count your blessings, cause im counting every lie. • The sun; a ball of glowing death. Yeah, that's about it. I hate the sun, it makes everything so bright. As a human, I didn't like it either. Why couldn't the whole world just hide in the dark? It's relaxing, isn't it?
• The wind whipped, blowing shaggy black hair over his emerald eyes. Grumbling, cold fingers through the tangles, brushing it back into style. Why worry about my hair so much? I know, because it's amazing. Oh god, now I just sound like my sister! Ugh.
• What was that? The boy lifted his head, looking in the direction of the thud. Instinctively, he sniffed the air silently, picking up the spicy scent of one of those fire birds..... blegh, birds. Satisfied with blood from a lost hunter he had found earlier, the girl didn't interest him.. but, curiosity never hurts, right? Well, that shouldn't be said. Not around here anyway. It might be a trap? Eh, fuck it, I'm faster than then anyhow.
• At a very, very slow seeming human paced walk, Harley made his way past the Oak that stood in the boundaries of the Amber Woods. The scent of the girl was strong, so she was obviously still here... but where? "Bloody hell!" he blurted, his English accent flowing thickly. The girl was sprawled on the ground, half hidden in the grass, only yards away. Now, curiosity had gotten the best of him, and he moved forward without thinking.
• "Hey, you. Are you alright?" he questioned, snapping simultaneously as he spoke. Being a vampire meant nothing to him when it came to other's safety, even if they were strangers. His human past had exposed him to terrible things, and he now wanted to use his immortality to help, rather than harm anymore. He knelt down next to the girl. She had amazing hair, it was gorgeously bright. He wasn't sure what to do, what if she awoke and was scared?

I woke up slowly. Becomeing slowly aware of my surroundings. The first thing I noticed was that there was someone next to me... Are they dangerous? Nah, they would have hurt me by now if they were.
"Hey, you. Are you alright?"
Well... I guess they would have anyways. Sliding my had to my forehead I groaned as I opened my eyes.
"Fuck me, right? Leave it to me to pass out from something as stupid as not eating." Trieing to sit up I got dizzy again and grabbed hold of my jeans to keep myself from falling back onto my back. My head was pounding behind my eye lids. "Ugh, I hit my head harder than I thought. Oh joy." I laughed and looked up at the boy next to me.
He was actually kind of hot... Hm. He smelled like a vampire though. I ran a hand through my tassled hair and started focusing on getting the grass out.
"So. Do you come here often?" A big smile filled my face and I glanced at him from the corner of my eye. My sense of humor was lame but hey, I wasn't going to make this hard on the kid. He was nice enough to come over here and see if I was okay and not try to eat me or something. I stoppe and looked up at him.
"Your actually kind of hot, kid-o. Haha."
Niiice. make his head as fat as a blimp why don't you. But hey, it's the truth. Yeap yeap. Until I know his name I shall call him Mr. Hotness. I'm well-known for giving people nicnames. They usually stuck too.
I looked at him with me green eyes and just smiled. You aint never met anything like me before kid. And don't you forget it.

harley. •••count your blessings, cause im counting every lie. • A sigh of relief passed through parted lips as the girl groaned and started to sit up. "Fuck me, right? Leave it to me to pass out from something as stupid as not eating." Well, at least she wasn't freaked out when she woke up. It was better that she took off complaining.. I think? She wobbled as she sat up, grabbing at her jeans. He put a quick hand behind her back so if she fell again, she wouldn't hit the ground. "Ugh, I hit my head harder than I thought. Oh joy." She rubbed her head, her hair pulling away from her eyes. Oh my god, her eyes. They were beautiful. A small grin spread across his thin lips, watching her.
• "So. Do you come here often?" The grin turned to a real smile and he laughed softly. A sense of humor too? This girl was pretty cool already. Certainly the best he'd met since coming here. The others were.. odd. He opened his mouth to reply, drawing in the sweet air in a long breath, then she spoke again. "Your actually kind of hot, kid-o. Haha." The laugh came back, and he dropped his head, standing up and brushing off his dark skinny jeans.
• "Uhm, thanks. You're pretty attractive yourself. No lie." The tall, slender vamp smiled down at the gorgeous girl. My god, she was tiny. Sticking his cold right hand in his pocket, he lended her his left, giving her a pearly toothed smile. "You wanna stand up yet? Er just, you know, hang out down there on the ground?"

I sat there a watched him as he stood abrubtly from sitting. I blew at my bangs to move them from infront of my eyes and looked up at him. Soooo... Compliments put him in a weird place? Hmm... Thats weird. I looked up at him as he talked to me.
"Uhm, thanks. You're pretty attractive yourself. No lie."
He smiled down at me and stuck a hand in his pocket, reaching down to me with the other he continued. "You wanna stand up yet? Er just, you know, hang out down there on the ground?"
I smiled back and bit at my lower lip, only glanceing at his hand before taking it in mine. "Thanks for the complement. Usually my hair gets all the compliments and it makes the rest of me feel insignificant. His hand was cool under my warmer one. I moved my feet under me and heaved myself up.
" God, I feel short." I laughed as I stood about eye level to his chest. I kept my hand in his, wanting to see how long it would take before he'd notice. "So whats it with you and compliments? Do you just not like them or something? I looked up at him, inclining my neck to see into his face. At the sudden movement I started to get dizzy agian and leaned towards him to steady myself.
My forehead was resting on his chest and I took deep breaths with my eyes closed. No. No falling. Not again. I'll feed myself in a few. Just don't pass out again. A small smile crept on my face. "Sorry, I'm not trieing to make a move or anything on you. I just don't want to fall flat on my back again. Haha. I stopped for a second as a breeze blew by, making my muscles strain against it. " Well, unless you want to think of this as me making a move on you, thats cool with me too.
I knew my hair was brushing a bit against his face. But it was cool now. It was semi warm to the touch, but no different from normal hair. Well except I don't get tangles. Oh, and the fact that there was probably still tuffs of grass still stuck in it. Oh well, who cares anyways, right?

harley. •••count your blessings, cause im counting every lie. • Reaching up, she took his hand, the heat from her hand burning against his cold skin. "Thanks for the complement. Usually my hair gets all the compliments and it makes the rest of me feel insignificant." I frowned at her comment, shaking my head. "Well, your hair is quiet amazing, but you're just all around gorgeous, I think." Damn it, now she's probably gonna think im being all... creepy.
• She got to her feet, standing just barely chest high to Harley. "God I feel short." He laughed, not really knowing what to say. Maybe because you're like, four foot? Oh yes, great way to kill the quick relationship right there. Looking down at their hands, the frown turned to a smirk, one of complete interest. "So whats it with you and compliments? Do you just not like them or something?" He looked down at her, seeing her craning her head back to look up. A shrug of his shoulders, he softly bit his bottom lip, running his tongue over the warm feeling metal stud in his lip. "Naw. Just, I don't know, not used to getting them really."
• Just as he finished replying, she swayed back and forth. Immediately, his left hand was out of his pocket and on her back, keeping her from falling again. Sorry, I'm not trieing to make a move or anything on you. I just don't want to fall flat on my back again. Haha." Almost simultaneously, the a cold wind shifted by, making her muscles tense against him. "Well, unless you want to think of this as me making a move on you, thats cool with me too." Wow, this girl was pretty blunt, huh? Haha, great. He smiled, laughing again; "It's completely fine, don't worry. And, whatever you want it to be, it's alright with me." A somewhat seductive smile spread across his lips, baring his pearly fangs. The warmth radiating off of her felt amazing against his cold skin. With his left hand still on her back, he considered interlocking fingers with the right hand she still held onto, but wasn't sure if she would be just that ready yet, even for something that harmless.
