let's levitate over the horizon
i can see it in your eyes, everything you're hiding The night was so wonderful. It was quiet and serene, just what she loved. To be alone, with no one around to bother her, or try to cut her up for her blood or horn, which currently wasn’t visible right now. No, Aurora liked to stay in her human form, wanting to blend in with the rest of the creatures here, but it was so useless. Her blonde hair stuck out like a sore thumb, and it was so hard to hide her glowing grey eyes. It was hard to pick which place was better to be in, Reena or Ashling. Either way, it was hard being a unicorn.
Eventually, Aurora found an open place in the forest, the moon still trying to shine through the cloud cover. Emerging from the trees, she decided that everything was okay and it was safe to head into the clearing. The grass crunched her feet as she headed for a rock in the middle of the opening. Taking a seat, she made herself comfortable before closing her eyes. Music began to form in her head, the melody taking on a life of its own as her head began to sway slightly, letting her get lost in the music. Finally, her mouth opened as musical words began to slip from her lips. Aurora started soft, before her voice grew louder and really delved into her lyrics.
Now she was lost in the vocals of her music, her eyes staying closed as her voice filled the meadow in the middle of the forest. She was giving herself chills, the world around her melting into nothing as the music overwhelmed. She was technically practice for the coming week in Ashling. Aurora had plans to go to the small café in Ashling and give the performance of her new song. She wanted to make sure that she would be ready to perform and not end up making a fool of herself. It was hard enough for her to get in front of all those people and sing, let alone if she were to embarrass herself. No doubt Aurora would run out of there in fear.
However, she was always well prepared, practicing alone in the dark. Well, she knew that she wasn’t alone in the dark. Vampires, werewolves and other creatures of the dark wandered around at night, looking for blood and sustenance. It was a risk Aurora was taking, but she was quick when it came to getting away, and she was much stronger than she looked. Don’t judge a book by its cover, and she was definitely not as fragile as she appeared to be. The ruins around her seemed to glow as she sang, always feeling safe here, knowing that it would protect her. Keeping her eyes closed, her voice filled the empty space of the ruins, losing track of time and her surroundings.

I'M BURNING IN THE HEAVENSand i'm drowning in hell
MY SOUL IS IN A COMA! _______________________________________ It was ridiculous. All of the sounds, all of the feelings, all of the confusing sensations shooting throughout his entire body all day long. The smallest thing could catch his attention, the farthest cries could be heard from his ears, and the most subtle of scents seemed to crawl up into his nostrils and sit on the back of his tongue. It was almost maddening at times. It was driving him insane even more on this day though. Absolutely everything was attracting his attention and the strangest of things caught his interest. Things like raw meat; which was something that hardly caught his interest in the past since he really couldn’t smell raw meat all that well or just didn’t notice it. When it was cooked to perfection then he would notice but now his mouth begin to water at the sight of it coming right off of the fucking animal. It was disgusting- no, it was enticing. The new aroma of blood had begun to tempt him too. If he had cut himself in the past he wouldn’t mind sucking it up or whatever but now he really wouldn’t mind doing it for someone else either. It sounded disgusting didn’t it? It sounded absolutely wretched and revolting. All of these cravings were too. Every single one of them would have been very unappealing to him just a few weeks ago. Seriously, raw meat?
Eric wasn’t sure what to do with himself after work had finished. After he had dug a single deep hole in the ground and did some grounds work, he was still feeling so full of energy and a strange thirst for adventure had come over him. So instead of taking the usual trail back up into the main parts of town to get something to eat and then go home, the young man had gone in the opposite direction with a single goal coming to mind. He wanted to find that wolf. He hadn’t really thought what he was going to do with it once he found it. Eric wasn’t equipped with any kind of weapon; no knives, no guns, no nothing. He was empty handed with nothing but the clothes on his back, a wallet in his back pocket, his keys and maybe some change drifting around his jean’s pockets. But there was nothing he had that could cause harm to another creature. Unless he wanted to beat it to death with his fists. Awkwardly enough something just below the surface of his skin was telling him that would do just fine.
It didn’t seem to take much time. His nose was telling him he was going the right way and despite his common sense, Eric was listening to the parts of him he had deemed insane. He was listening to the enhanced senses that seemed impossible to exist. He wasn’t sure what had come over him, no, but he was feeling extremely confident in what he was doing and where he was going. His mind had seemed to be taking a backseat and something new was scratching around just below his simple appearance. He wasn’t afraid of it for the moment either. It was like he was letting it go while he took a break. His body was going and his mind was lost. And he didn’t care.
He had come upon a tree of great proportions and found himself going up through the gap that was hidden in the mix of roots. Briefly he wondered what he was doing. For a moment he wondered why he was doing this and where he was going and why the air around him was becoming cold and frigid. It was supposed to be springtime… then why was there snow? And there was water and salt and a new variety of smells and sounds hitting him. Through the dark he could see light and soon he stepped out of his normal surroundings into something that was greatly misplaced. It was like he had stepped into a whole new world. His muscles and skin tingled with a strange new air falling over him. Where was he?
His seemingly alter ego was not going to let him dwell on that long though. It was already pulling him up the shore and toward the high cliffs that looked impossible to breech. Despite his true and honest surprise, Eric couldn’t let it sink in all the way yet. It was like he was in a dream or something. Everything still felt so unnatural and almost magical that he found it couldn’t possibly be real. And if he was in a dream that meant he could climb these cliffs. Sure enough, Eric managed to do just that. There were a few slips because of his tennis shoes and his hands gained some scrapes because whenever he leapt from platform to platform or ledge to ledge he would sometimes have to grab desperately at the stone. He never felt fear or doubt though.
Things all seemed so mixed and blurred from then on. He was wandering through forest. He was lost but not. His nose was still pulling him forward and that vicious nature in him was still determined to catch the thing that had deemed this insanity on him. But suddenly his heart seemed to stop.
His eyes shifted from their original destination and turned in the direction of the sound. A new sound. It had hit his ears like pots and pans being thrown around in a kitchen- only a lot less horrid to listen to. It was soft and easy to listen to actually. It was something you’d hear in a CD you’d purchase to help fall asleep to, in his opinion. Yeah, it was relaxing like that and almost completely intoxicating to all of his senses. It was as though it was suddenly numbing the mindless wandering and bringing him back from the passenger seat of his mind. It kind of scared him to be back in control though and he shook his head, trying to force the noise away. But the singing continued echoing lightly through the forest, trying to pull him out.
Slowly he followed.
Giving in to this voice… he wasn’t sure if he liked it. Such a pure sound, it was unworldly to him.
Finally the source was in his sights and he paused. Hiding among the brush made him feel like a hunter closing in on the game. But this was obviously something that Eric would never kill: a lovely woman. His heart slowed a bit now as he watched her with light, full eyes. He wasn’t sure what to do but stand there, hunched over slightly, shaking every now and then in his dirty white tank top because of the cold here. He licked his bottom lip unknowingly. _______________________________________ tagged: aurora freesia dresden song: take me by papa roach words: one thousand one hundred thirty-five notes: and here's eric!

let's levitate over the horizon
i can see it in your eyes, everything you're hiding Grey eyes watched the clouds above her head, leaning back on the ruined rock to give herself a better view, not to mention her arms were growing tired of supporting her body. Her voice continued to fill the open meadow, growing lost in the music. It was so easy for her to forget about her surroundings, not paying attention to who or what could be sneaking up on her. It was quite a dangerous habit really. Aurora should have known better, but the music and her singing always pulled her away from reality, pulling her into a fantasy world.
However, she heard it. The small rustle of grass startled her, and the feeling of being watched came across her. She quickly sprang from her spot like a deer, her grey eyes wide with fear. Her knees shook as she spun around, looking to see who it was that was watching her. Her heart pounded in her chest, fear gripping her whole body. To her dismay, there was no one she could see, but that didn’t help her feel any better. Fear pulsed in her veins as she stood in the middle of the ruins. Aurora wanted to stay calm, but she couldn’t see who was watching her and that thought alone made her fearful. For all she knew, there could have been some small animal scampering through the forest around her. However, her paranoia always got the better of her, afraid that someone might be after her. The life of a unicorn was a fearful one, and Aurora wouldn’t mind a change in her life from time to time.
Eventually she stopped spinning in her circle, feeling like her knees were going to give out any second. The shook violently, and she was too afraid to move. If she did, she was sure that whatever was watching her would spring on her the moment she took off. Staying where she was, she swallowed hard, trying to find her voice. “H-hello?” she called out to the forest, wondering if someone could hear her, “Is s-somebody out there?” Now that she had done a full 360 she knew where each rock of the ruin was, and she would know where to go should someone jump out of the forest to attack her.
Nothing, there was nothing that she could physically hear or see. Whatever it was, was either gone or was waiting patiently to attack her. It was driving her mad really, not knowing what it was that was waiting for her in the shadows. A light breeze blew across the meadow, tousling her platinum blonde hair, the light silver dress floating around her body. Glowing grey eyes were penetrated with fear, waiting for something, anything to happen. Each second turning to an hour as the forest remained quiet. Just what was out there, waiting for her to run and begin the chase? Aurora could only hope that she would be the faster of the two, no matter what the creature was, and out run them to her safe haven.

I'M BURNING IN THE HEAVENSand i'm drowning in hell
MY SOUL IS IN A COMA! _______________________________________ The singing stopped and the blond woman had practically sprung from the rock she had been situated on. Eric could feel the fear emanating off of her as her light colored stare began to search around for something that she wasn’t sure was there. Hell, she seemed so afraid that he could have sworn his nostrils were picking up a unique scent from here because of it. He hadn’t taken the time earlier but now that he was standing here he did manage to think off all the things in the air. The heaviest scent that he was drawn to was that of the woman’s. It wasn’t a strong, horrendous odor. Oh no it was far from being something awful. In fact, to him, it seemed to have a very unique, soft smell. She seemed fresh but now it was thickening with fear. Her eyes were also giving away the feelings along with the quivering going throughout her legs. Something had frightened her a good deal and he was pretty sure that the something had been him perhaps stepping on a twig or running his hand over some leaves. Huh- that was rather strange about her as well. She had heard such a gentle fault made by either his feet or hands. How could she have noticed that while singing her song anyways? She either had amazing hearing for any other person he had ever known or she was extremely cautious and worrisome. Maybe she was just all of the above, actually.
Eric stared back her feeling strangely calm and in control of the whole situation. His blood didn’t starting pumping through him like wild and his heart didn’t thump in his chest offbeat. Everything was very natural feeling even though he was sure that he should have felt bad for doing this to her. It was strange, stalker like behaviors that he normally never would have let get a hold of him. Eric wasn’t a stalker. He never had any intentions of scaring anyone in the past or soaking in the fear that they got out of being around him. Eric usually could care less. Okay, so he would admit that he sometimes like people to feel fearful of him but that was only out of his own instability. If he didn’t have that fear in people then he would surely get pushed around- that was the last thing that he ever wanted happening to him. Weak points were not allowed to show themselves.
The woman had stopped her spinning and desperate searching all around her. Instead she gathered up her voice and called out. When she did Eric closed his eyes, taking in a deep, quiet breath through his nose. He didn’t even have to have his eyes opened to find her. Why wasn’t this creeping him out? Eric knew something was wrong with… him. But right now the night was putting him at ease and his heart felt almost content with where he was in this forest. A feeling of belonging dragged out over him as he continued to listen and remain still. What was going on with him? Right now, whatever it was did not matter. Another part of this mystery that was him would not allow his thoughts to go to such scattered brain thinking. Right now everything was collected and put together as he stood there in the silence.
No. What was he thinking?
Eric slowly lifted his lashes away from his hazel eyes and looked back out on the woman. She was so serene and lovely in the strangest way. He couldn’t really place his finger on it and he now let his thoughts begin to come back to him. It did not take a long time for him to realize that he should not have been doing this to her. Eric shouldn’t have been hiding away in the brush enjoying this poor thing’s fear of him. It was wrong and vile. A part of him that was scratching away at the surface was dying with pleasure from it but he tried to keep that enjoyment buried and kept secret from the purest parts of him. Well, the purest bits that still remained within him. It was a difficult task and he had to swallow hard and force everything away just to do it. He suddenly had a very strong urge to hit something.
He had to leave. He had to leave this place and come back the way that he had come! A panic began to fill up in his stomach. He had no idea where he was. He couldn’t remember the way. The only thing clear to his memory was the ocean but he wasn’t sure where to go. He could retrace his trail but doubt was overcoming him and he suddenly wasn’t feeling so calm and sure of himself. God, sometimes he was sure that he was fucking bipolar or something. Maybe he’d developed a freak personality split and was now going back to old, regular Eric. Hell he couldn’t tell. He just knew he had to leave. He wasn’t sure why but he knew that something was going to happen that neither he nor this woman would like at all. It was just a feeling of course but it was definitely a bad feeling!
Eric quickly went to turn, this time managing to stir up a lot more noise. Twigs snapped, leaves rustled, and plenty of foreign things were moved out of his way. He wasn’t expecting to turn so quick and find himself a nice fallen branch to go toppling over though. His shin hit it straight on and his arms went out to his sides hoping to help catch him. Unfortunately it wasn’t good enough and he found himself lying on his chest in the grass a moment later. His breathing had turned heavy now as he put his hands beneath him and started to lift himself while looking over his shoulder wondering if anything had heard or was coming after him. Just because he was on the ground didn’t mean that he was out of sight. But he did take a moment to close his eyes and try to recollect himself and figure out what way to go before tripping around in the dark. _______________________________________ tagged: aurora freesia dresden song: take me by papa roach words: one thousand forty-eight notes: X:

let's levitate over the horizon
i can see it in your eyes, everything you're hiding It was so hard being alone or at least one of the few left of her kind. Unicorns… A rare creature with many features that were fought over by humans and even the witches and wizards of Reena. No, people didn’t even fight, they killed for it. Sometimes, she wasn’t sure whether to be happy, or worried that people were fighting over who she was and what she could ‘provide’ to the people that were killing for her blood, horn, and hair. A situation like this was normal for her, and you’d think she would be used to it or consider it normal, but it was in her nature to be a timid creature. Well, Aurora was timid, but so timid in fact that over time it turned into paranoia.
The paranoia was eating away at her slowly, as her patience wore thin in waiting to see just who or what it was that was lingering in the dark shadows of the forest that surrounded her. Her heart fluttered in her chest like a hummingbird. The sound of her blood rushing filled her ears, and she was slowly but surely starting to slightly hyperventilate. The seconds turned to minutes, and although she hadn’t been waiting that long, the minutes seemed to drag on like hours for Aurora. She stood perfectly still like a statue. Her breath turned to fog in the cool air as she began to shiver slightly as a mix from fear and the chill air of Reena.
Then, there was movement.
The flurry of noises made her let out a small scream. Jumping in fear, she quickly dived behind a rock within the ruins, closing her eyes and crossing her arms in front of her face. Her heart was racing out of control as small whimpers left her lips, waiting for whatever it was to come after her and possibly devour her. Yet, when nothing happened after a few moments, she began to wonder if whatever was in the dark forest was just watching her or had taken off. Shifting behind the rock, she slowly lifted onto her knees, grey eyes peeking over the rock to see that nothing was there. Her head swiveled around, blonde hair dancing around her face as she tried to see if maybe the creature had moved to behind her or was standing outside of her vision. However, what saw was, nothing. Standing slowly, she kept checking around her surroundings, but there was nothing there. Again there was more movement. Aurora jumped again, taking a few steps back, but whatever it was that was in the forest was actually running away from her rather than to her.
Then there was a thud. A look of confusion came across her face as she took several slow steps towards the edge of the ruins, trying to look through the branches and trees to see what it was that was lying beyond the darkness. Carefully, she stepped through the brush of the forest, making sure to avoid any twigs and branches that she might step on. It became slightly darker in the trees and brush, but she could still fairly see. However, as she came closer to the creature, she saw that it actually wasn’t as scary as she imagined as it would have been in her mind. Her grey eyes spotted a man, flat on the ground. Did he fall? Walking around him, she crouched down, tilting her head to the side like a dog when confronted with something new or a foreign sound.
Hesitant, she stretched out her hand, offering it to the man on the ground, “Are you okay?” Her voice was sweet, innocent, like the way she sang. His clothing was quite strange. Wasn’t he cold? Then again, maybe he wasn’t a creature of Reena, was he possibly a human from Ashling? She had never seen him before, then again she didn’t venture to Ashling very much and when she did she only stayed to the places that she knew best. It was hard to tell just what really was waiting for her out there, and it was a risk that Aurora just wasn’t willing to take on her life. However, this guy didn’t seem too bad. Was he more afraid of her than she of him? He must’ve been, otherwise he wouldn’t have been tripping through the woods to get away to wherever it was he was going. Wow, someone was actually afraid of Aurora? That was a definite switch. Usually it was her afraid of everyone else and running for her life.

I'M BURNING IN THE HEAVENSand i'm drowning in hell
MY SOUL IS IN A COMA! _______________________________________ At first there were no sounds coming to ears. Nothing that was significant to his current situation that is and that meant that he was free to burst up from the ground and get the hell out of here and back to wherever home happened to be! But he fucking had gone and thought too soon! Just as the balls of his toes had met the forest floor and his feet had flexed, a sound did suddenly echo through his ears and he once again had to freeze but this time in a tensed position as he was about to push himself off the ground. His upper arms and toes were holding up his entire body now and despite his tiredness it was surprisingly no problem to do this. There wasn’t a single tremor going through his muscles as he waited and concentrated on the steps that were coming over toward him. Oh fuck, they were coming over toward him! He had been noticed and now he was here on his stomach (well, somewhat) just waiting for that something to find him and do whatever it wanted to do to him. If it could… oh hell it was probably the pretty, singing girl and that was all. But he hadn’t wanted her to see him! He still didn’t want her to find him! Unfortunately it was too late for him to blast off into the forest away from her. She had already approached him. And she was already looking down at him as he balanced himself on the ground. Oh, god damn it.
When she spoke to him, Eric closed his eyes tightly and even winced a bit. It was almost like her voice had been ear piercing to him. Really it wasn’t. She spoke softly, just like her singing. It was a soothing voice but it still made him tense up and made his stomach turn. Her smell was stronger and he was beginning to get a little freaked out about how well he could smell her. If she had turned on her heels and ran from him he was positive that he could track her like some kind of bloodhound and that was completely abnormal for a human man to do unless he had some freak genes. Eric didn’t have freak genes though. But he was starting to accept the idea that there was possibly something very wrong with him and whatever that was he knew that he needed to get away from her now because whatever it was happened to be pounding hard in his veins. It was like some alien was beneath his skin… he wasn’t sure what to do. Except for run far away from anyone. That was all he could think of. Just run… he was good at running away.
The young man still held his eyes clenched shut and dropped his head a bit so that she couldn’t look at his face to see the personal turmoil he was facing currently. He bit down on the inside of his lips and held his breath, hoping that it would help to bring his heart to a slower pace. He could just hear it so damn well now. It was like a gong ringing inside of him and it made the blood in his veins surge like forced water blasting through pipes. Ugh, it was truly quite painful and truth be told he wanted to look up and find that he was back at the cemetery just digging holes in the ground. He didn’t want to see the pretty girl standing over him with her hand out to help him. What if he did something to her? Surely his foul mouth and uneasy temper would scare her away anyways. But he’d rather not deal with it. He wanted to open his eyes and find that she had been a figment of his imagination and nothing more than that! It was all just a fairytale that he had spun in his time of slight agony. He wasn’t dying, he was sure. He was just feeling very unwell and not at all like his normal self would feel. The normal Eric would not have been on the ground with his eyes closed up like some kind of scared little boy. The real Eric would have grabbed this situation by the balls.
He felt slightly motivated after those last thoughts. He may not have liked himself all that much but he liked feeling like himself more than he liked feeling like whatever this was! This alien affliction was not going to get the better of him right now that was for damned sure! Eric was a fighter and always had been. He wasn’t going to just give up on himself now. He was sure that whoever this was would not try to stop him in any case. She didn’t look like the type. She didn’t smell like the noble type…
“I’m fine,” he murmured under his breath. He forced his eyes opened, dizzying himself slightly as the blood continued to pound in his head. But he tried his best to regain himself. It wasn’t working very well. He still looked like a confused, lost animal. But he still forced himself back on his knees and started to get up. But as he did so he felt some sharp pains in his legs and feet. He ground his teeth visibly and sat back on his heels, his hands falling to his knees. “Get away from me.” _______________________________________ tagged: aurora freesia dresden song: take me by papa roach words: nine-hundred seventeen notes: hello muse (:

let's levitate over the horizon
i can see it in your eyes, everything you're hiding Her grey eyes stayed on the young man. He looked like he was older than her, but Aurora just stayed visibly the same, she was much older than him really. Just what was he doing here? He didn’t look like he was part of Reena. His clothing was so… different. And he was quite dirty too. Was that from falling down just now? No, as she looked closer the dirt already appeared to be stained on the white shirt. He must’ve been a human from Ashling. Strange, how did he get here? Did he know about the tree in the woods? Few humans knew about it really, along with the creatures of Reena. Yet she had been to Ashling before, performing at the local café there a few times, but never had she seen humans come into Reena. It was quite strange really. He must’ve been so lost here; otherwise he wouldn’t have ended up here. Surely he was just trying to get back to the cave to go home? Did he even know where to go?
There was something wrong with him. Aurora wasn’t sure what it was, but he almost didn’t seem to like her voice, or that he had somehow hurt himself. Her eyes still watched him, ready to jump at any moment if he was playing a game with her to really attack her. Then again, this was a human. What business would he have here in Reena? Did he want her horn, or maybe her blood? He wasn’t armed from what she could see. No knife or weapon of the sort in his hands. So what was he doing watching her? Could he really have heard her voice so far away? Then again, when Aurora wasn’t paying attention she could actually get fairly loud. She made a mental note to watch her pitch next time, not wanting to be loud. She didn’t even mean to be so in the first place, she just got lost in the music.
Her head tilted to the side, still watching him curiously and cautiously. He was taking too long to get up so she pulled her hand back until he was ready. Grey eyes seemed to slightly glow in the dark of the forest, keeping an eye on the human man that was still reluctant to get up. Was he actually hurt? She couldn’t see any blood; then again he might be hurt and not bleeding. Yet, he wasn’t groaning in pain or making any kind of noise really. So then what was he doing on the ground still? He was quite odd this mortal man was? He must’ve been immune to pain or had quite a high tolerance to it. Why were his eyes closed? There were so many things about this man that she didn’t understand, and the most she stood there crouched over watching him, the more she began to wonder about him.
Finally he spoke, but his words were a little cold and Aurora suddenly felt like she invaded his private space. She moved back a little, her face dropping as a frown came across her features. When he began to stand, so did she, but he quickly fell back to the ground. Aurora stayed with him, watching him carefully to make sure that he was okay. However, his second group of words hurt her even more. Now she stood to her full height, awkwardly rubbing her arm as she averted his gaze. “I’m sorry. I just wanted to make sure that you were okay. It sounded like that fall of yours really hurt and I wasn’t sure if you were hurt or not. Besides, it was you who was watching me anyways wasn’t it?”

I'M BURNING IN THE HEAVENSand i'm drowning in hell
MY SOUL IS IN A COMA! _______________________________________ Her words went onto deaf ears. Eric couldn’t find the strength in him to concentrate on anything that she was saying to him. It was simply impossible through all of this pain that he was now feeling surging through his limbs! It was awful. There was more than just something crawling underneath his skin, now there was something trying to like mutilate him from the inside out or something! Oh fucking fuck, this was not comfortable at all and he was beginning to feel like he needed to close his eyes and just pass out on the ground. But he couldn’t. He just couldn’t find it in himself to let his guard down. Yeah, the only reason for that was because he was scared absolutely shitless. Eric had no idea what was going on with him and he was in a place that was completely foreign to him. Who in their right mind wouldn’t have some fear building up inside of them? He wanted it to be a dream and he wanted to open up his eyes and wake up. Actually, he wanted everything that had happened to him in the past few weeks to just be a dream. He would give anything to have never met up with that giant wolf in the cemetery. That thing had been the start off all of this bad luck that he was starting to have! That damned stupid wolf! Ugh- but there was really no time to think back on that now, was there? Oh fuck no, but he still wanted to so that he could blame everything on that wolf and maybe not think about the pain that he was suddenly experiencing. He knew better than that though. He had to get out of here. Something told him that he really needed to just… get away from this girl. Get away from her before he did something that he would regret. Shit, he was scared.
Eric forced himself to look up and it seemed on instinct that his eyes rolled back in the direction of the cloud covered sky. He could see light wanting to burst from behind the gray puffs though and for some reason that suddenly relaxed him. It didn’t take away the pain or anything (it was just the moonlight for fuck’s sake) but it just made him sit still and stop growing over his knees for a moment. But the brief calm was vanquished by panic. He quickly turned his eyes up back toward the girl that he had already tried to tell to leave once. But this time his stare was a little different and much less… confident or annoyed than it probably had appeared earlier on. Now he showed more obvious signs of pleading with her. Then, of course, there was his own fear as well. She definitely was not alone in feeling jumpy and uncomfortable with this situation. But she was the one out of the two of them who should really go ahead and act on those feelings of fear. If she knew what was best for her.
“You have to get away from me now!” he shouted up at her. “Please, run away!”
Eric dropped his head, grinding his teeth when a sharp pain pushed from his gums. His hands immediately covered up his mouth and his tongue could clearly make out some points being chipped out of his teeth while they seemed to enlarge. And if he hadn’t been freaked out enough by his teeth starting to deform themselves, he also began to feel his nails piercing the flesh on his face where he was holding his hands. His fingers began to ache as they too started to grow and he could feel everything basically getting larger. Then there was the patches of… fur, was it? Fur!? Dear God, he was changing into some kind of monster right out of a horror flick! He was suddenly tossed out of reality and into a television screen or something! This couldn’t’ have been happening to him, it couldn’t have been happening!
Oh please, God, don’t let this be happening.
Suddenly all thoughts seemed to stop. There was just nothing. Everything numbed and Eric wasn’t Eric anymore. There was just a beast standing in his place with torn and stretched clothing hanging from it. No more feelings rested in his chest, it seemed. No more thoughts except violence ran through his head. All of the enhanced senses of the human became more of a wolf’s now. And the first scent to touch his nostrils was hers. Deep hazel eyes gazed up now while large paws dropped from the brute’s face. When he locked his eyes on the girl a low snarl erupted from his throat and he placed his front paws on the ground, allowing his nails to scratching around the dirt.
Something deep inside of him was still telling the poor girl to run. _______________________________________ tagged: aurora freesia dresden song: take me by papa roach words: eight-hundred twenty-one notes: omg, unicorn needs to run

let's levitate over the horizon
i can see it in your eyes, everything you're hiding Aurora wasn’t sure what was going through the boys mind, but she stood from her crouched position. Arms folded across her chest as she waited for the boy to stand or at least sit up so she could know he was okay. Something was wrong, she could sense it, but she wasn’t sure what it was that was bothering the boy so much. The darkness in the forest grew slightly lighter, her grey eyes lifting up to see the moon trying to peek through the clouds. After a moment, she put her attention back on the boy who also seemed to notice the moon… Wait, the moon? Her arms came unfolded as she looked back to the sky. Her vision darted between the boy on the ground and the moon above, panic started to build in her own stomach now. Her ears heard the boy scream at her to run, and what she saw was indescribable.
His teeth caught the light, a small shriek leaving the unicorn’s lips as she backed away from him. She hit a tree, getting pinned in front of the boy. The claws and fur were next, and the fear clogged up the inner workings of her mind to figure out just what was going on. Her eyes darted back up to the moon again before going back to the boy. Oh no… he was a werewolf? Great, she thought the cloud cover would hide the moon from view tonight, but she thought wrong. Slowly it was starting to thin out and the moon was starting to shine within the darkness of the forest. So, he was a werewolf, so then why was he out here in the open? If he knew the moon was going be out then why would he be here? Wait, did he even know? Maybe he had been bitten and didn’t realize it?! That would explain his clothing. He was from Reena so how did a werewolf even get to him? Things didn’t make sense, and the panic only began to get worse in her stomach.
Finally, his transformation was complete, and before her stood a large wolf, white teeth glinting in the faint moonlight and fear rippling through her body. The ground seemed to vibrate beneath her feet as his large paws hit the ground. She screamed again as his snarl, her body shaking violently, her eyes full of fear. Slowly, she edged around the tree, taking cautious steps back as her eyes stayed on the wolf before her. Her heart pounded in her chest, and Aurora was sure it would jump through her ribs and skin to spill out before the wolf. She couldn’t just stay here with this animal, and at some point he would attack her and then it would be over. Taking another careful step back, she paused before turning and taking off into a full sprint.
Her heart rate seemed to match the quick pace of her feet; however she knew that she wasn’t going to be able to get anywhere running on foot as a human. Seeing a rock up ahead, she sprinted to it before taking a leap off it. Her body transformed, her pale skin turning white like the moon, platinum blonde hair catching the light. Her feet and hands shifted into hooves. The silver spiral horn sprouted from the middle of her forehead, and by the time she hit the ground she was fully transformed. Her feet thumped against the ground as she picked up spend with four feet now pushing through the forest. Even though she knew she had more speed and a better chance of escaping, she couldn’t stop her heart from racing in her chest. Aurora didn’t even look behind her to see if the wolf was following her. However, for now she just kept running, and until she felt it was safe she wasn’t going to stop.
