we're running out of alibies from the second of May reminds me of the summertime o n t h i s w i n t e r ' s d a y Never in her life had she been so happy to be away from home. When she was younger she thought that being away from the palace would make her homesick and sad, but she was feeling the complete opposite of that. There was a huge weight lifted off her shoulders and she had never felt so free before. Her mind didn’t have to worry about suitors courting her for money and a pretty girl in their bed. Oh that thought made her sick to her stomach. Sure there may have been maybe one suitor that was actually looking for love, but if that was the case they weren’t standing out to get her attention. So, they faded into the background while the greedy princes did her best to woo her over for her hand in marriage.
God it was disgusting to watch them. They were all trying too hard, and it was quite obvious to Meliora. It only made her dislike them more. Her father begged her to just pick a suitor, but it wouldn’t matter. What was the point in marrying someone if you didn’t love them? That was her philosophy. So, what did she do? Why she left home of course, the palace and all the suitors behind. Melrose wasn’t about to let her father and some strange suitor control her love life. It was better for her to leave and explore the world and find love on her own. She vowed that when she fell in love and only when she found that one person, she would return back home. Sure the guards of the palace were already looking for her, but until they found her she wasn’t going anywhere, only the places she wanted to go. For now she was exploring the world, seeing what was beyond the palace walls and what person she could fall in love with.
Well, aside from falling in love she was seeing the world. Today’s stop, Corinthes. It was quite a lovely land really, reminding her slightly of home, but it was the only place that she would consider home for now. She was just on the outside of the kingdom, finding a grassy shady spot for her to relax in. Kneeling on the ground, her hands reach in front of her, touching the cold ground. Her blue eyes closed, concentrating on what she wanted. A green glow began under her hands, and slowly she pulled away as a small plant began to form under her hands. Soft smile spread across her lips as she continued to concentrate and help the plant grow. Slowly but surely, the plant flourished in the cold weather, small flowers emerging on the plant before they transformed into fruit.
Finally the plant matured enough for her to stop, the green glow fading. The smile on her face spread, pleased with her work. Delicately, she reached out and plucked a piece of fruit from the plant. Melrose was glad actually she was an earth fairy. She wasn’t one that could go out into the wilderness and kill animals; then again she wasn’t much of a meat eater to begin with so it was best that she stuck with fruit and vegetables. Letting out a soft sigh, she leaned against the tree behind her, enjoying the fruit she just created. “I wonder what kind of fun I can do today?” she asked herself out loud. Oh yes, ever since she left home she really hasn’t had a way to entertain herself. Well, with no father around to keep her in line, and no suitors to draw in, she decided that she would do things her way. Rather, she passed her time pulling pranks on people who happened to walk by, causing mischief wherever she went. Now it wasn’t very proper for a princess, but she wasn’t home in the castle where watching eyes could scold her for her actions. No, she was flying solo and things were going to be done her way, while she looked for love. She could only hope that if her future love was caught in one her tricks, she hoped they wouldn’t take it too seriously and ruin the relationship between them.

Post by KYRAN TIBERIUS ASHBY on Apr 11, 2010 19:43:03 GMT -5
There was a strong breeze blowing off of the water today, and Kyran found that he couldn't concentrate on a thing. His mind kept wandering back into his past. His subconscious prodding at every old hurt he had. He threw on his cloak and headed out of town, away from the coast line, hoping to clear his head and get it back in the right place. Kyran knew he was letting it get the best of him, but today he let it. 'This is stupid,' he told himself. He hated to think that he was weak for dwelling on the past. That life was behind him now. Behind him for good. And for the better, now maybe he could be in charge of his own destiny again.
His feet carried him out of town and down into a grassy meadow. This wasn't a particularly well used road, and Kyran wasn't giving any thought to where he was going. He was too busy with his own thoughts. Blaming his present circumstances on the past. He hadn't grabbed a weapon on his way out either, not even a small dagger. In a regular mindset, he never would have done that.
What he needed right now was a new direction. Right now there was nothing to occupy his time really. Maybe a new occupation was in order. But really, there was nothing else he knew how to do. Maybe he could be a mercenary, but he wasn't really interested in living on someone else's terms. Justyn had been the closest to that he could ever deal with. And it wasn't like he could go back to that life now. He couldn't actually go back to any of his lives. Kyran wondered how long he could wander through the world like this, going from one life to the next and he wondered how many more lives he might have. Could life really go on forever like this without an end?

we're running out of alibies from the second of May reminds me of the summertime o n t h i s w i n t e r ' s d a y Before long, the fruits from the plant were gone, and all that was left was Melrose gentle sucking and licking her fingers that were stained with sweet juice. A pleased sigh left her rosy lips, leaning against the tree. For once she was able to just relax, enjoying the sounds around her and the fresh smells. It really reminded her of home sometimes, but home was the last place she wanted to be right now. There was just too much going on right now and she felt that she was much better off traveling Reena for love than being forced into it with someone that she was sure she didn’t care about.
Her ears picked up the shuffling of feet not too far away. Excellent, someone to play a trick on! She left the plant where it was before moving to another area and growing vines off a tree. Her blue eyes watched as the vine tied itself into a loop, lowering it to the ground. She whispered to the plant, giving it specific instructions for what she wanted to accomplish. The footsteps grew closer, and she shrunk to her small fairy size before zipping off, finding a hiding spot in the tree to not be seen but still watch her work in progress. Moving a leaf out of view, she patiently waited.
As she waited, she could hear her hear racing in her chest, growing more excited every time the stranger took a step closer. Blue orbs darted to the ankle loop resting on the ground, just waiting to sting the stranger upside without a warning. This was Melrose’s favorite trick to pull on strangers. This trick or using a net were just about equal, but she loved this trick better. She became more excited for her trick to be triggered, her blue glowing wings fluttering behind her back as she tried to wait patiently. With each step, her heart beat harder until finally the stranger came into view. It was quite hard to see just who was coming her way, a dark cloak hanging over the figure, but nonetheless, they were heading straight for her trap. Oh she couldn’t wait to see the look on their face when they were suddenly hanging upside down, or when they found out it was a fairy that had pulled one over them.
Finally, the stranger stepped into the look, flipping them upside down and hanging them from the tree. A squeal of delight left the fairy’s lips as she zipped from her hiding spot in the tree to circle the stranger. “I can’t believed that worked!” she squealed before going back to life size and looking at the stranger now hooked in her trap. “And just who might you be? Tell me your name and I might just let you down from the tree.” Her head tilted to the side, watching the boy as he swung in the tree, a small giggle leaving her rosy lips. “Please, tell me your name. At least that much, it’s the only way to get you down.”

Post by RAEOKI COTWRIGHT on Apr 23, 2010 18:06:02 GMT -5
Raeoki Cotwright was not far from Melrose. Instead of grass, she was laying on dirt, eyes closed, sucking in the sun. It was nice to leave her home every once in a while, even if she did sometimes worry if it was still in the neat position that she had left it. Letting out a soft sigh, Raeoki rolled onto her side, and propped her head with her right hand. The siren's blue eyes were slits as she gazed to the horizon. The horizon...endless possibilities... She thought as a smile appeared on her red lips. Raeoki ignored the small grains of dirt on her short blond hair and the dust on her clothes. She never cared. Isolation does that to some people, to others it makes them cranky hermits, and others just go plain crazy because of it.
The front finger on her left hand drew some circles on the soft earth. With a content look on her pale face, Raeoki turned the circles into the faces of animals. She created an oval, and turned it into a fish. The siren hummed softly as she drew, enjoying the world around her nonchalantly. She wore a white dress today, proving to anyone that looked at her Raeoki had been rolling in the dirt. Beside her was a quiver filled with arrows and a bow, her preferred hunting utensils. After creating a crude cat, Raeoki stared at her doodles, and rolled onto her back. For some reason, she wasn't feeling the peace and contentment that had came to her before she had started drawing in the dirt.
Instead, she was bored.
Can't have that, now, can we? Raeoki thought frowning at the sun. It's rays pained her eyes, and she quickly looked away. I suppose I could explore some...It's not every day I go to Corinthes for a vacation... Raeoki thought as she sat up, using her arms as a support. She looked around, Now...which way?
Raeoki didn't even have to decide. She heard some rustling from behind her. Raeoki allowed herself to fall on her back before rolling on her stomach. She blinked rapidly, and got to her feet. Most likely a squirrel or some other animal. Raeoki thought, but out of curiosity and boredom, the siren followed the noise. She was nearly blown out of her stained, brown boots at what she saw.
That's not a squirrel, that's a man!!Raeoki gasped at Kyran, dangling from the tree, and a tiny fairy asking for his name, "Wha-What's going on here!?" If she wasn't so surprised, Raeoki would've sounded angry. Her mouth was the shape of an "o", and you could tell by her eyes that was completely goggled.
